Declaring goods
Automate declarations to remain in control of time-critical customs compliance.
Since the UK left the EU Customs Union, merchandise being transported across the border are subject to a customs control process. The individual who is accountable for the transport of the cargo is required to complete Import & export declarations or other similar administrative document (SAD). Presently the import or export declaration is generally known as form C88 (UK specific).
C88 form customs
When freight is declared to British Customs, their particulars are provided using the form C88 for a full declaration, or a C21 for a simplified declaration. The merchandise itself, along with the circumstance surrounding the reason why the goods are being transported, determine not just which one of these 2 forms needs to be submitted, but also what details are needed.
As well as this, in the event of any delays in your cargo clearing Customs, then you could encounter daily storage fees, which can swiftly add up. Therefore, many decide that they are not able to submit it themselves and choose to use TRANSIT PLUS LTD
- Full declaration - C88 form
- Simplified declaration - C21 form
